About Westwood

A volunteer sorting nametags Westwood Unitarian Congregation is a democratic and inclusive liberal religious community, dedicated to respectfully supporting each other's spiritual quests, nurturing our children and youth as well as the larger community, and working towards social justice.

Westwood is a warm and bright church (capacity 130 people) located in the quiet Parkallen neighborhood south of the main University of Alberta campus. In addition to being Westwood congregation's home, the building is used by the community for activities such as dancing, yoga, music, and events such as child dedications, memorial services, marriage ceremonies, and even birthday parties. Contact Westwood for building rental information.

Westwood, like all other Unitarian Universalist churches, is self-governing. There is no organizational hierarchy in our denomination. However, churches across the country join together in the Canadian Unitarian Council to support one another, provide resources and speak with one voice on issues of social justice.
