Topic: This week, Westwood joins 579* congregations worldwide, in a powerful act of ‘disruption’ – engaging in a “#UUWhiteSupremacyTeachin” – in response to a call from Black Lives UU. Join us for an interactive ‘work-ship’ (worship and workshop combined) as we examine the cultural water we swim in. We expect this to be an informative, gentle yet challenging, community transforming opportunity. Suitable for all ages, experience, and understanding.
Following the work-ship, along with Sunday refreshments, there will be 3 opportunities available for those who wish to remain: a quiet caring space, for any who might feel tender; a conversation space, for those who want to continue engaging with the materials; a spring concert, for those who wish to sit in musical meditation.
*registered as of April 23
Work-ship Leaders: Rev. Anne Barker & Ilara Stefaniuk-Gaudet
