We believe that everyone has the right to seek truth and meaning for themselves.
The fundamental tools for doing this are your own life experience, your reflection upon it, your intuitive understanding and the promptings of your own conscience.

Westwood practises shared ministry with professional leadership, lay leaders for Sunday services, and lay chaplains to perform rites of passage such as weddings, child dedications, memorial services and other important milestone celebrations.
Westwood's minister is The Reverend Anne Barker.
Westwood is a warm and bright church (capacity 130 people) located in the quiet Parkallen neighborhood south of the main University of Alberta campus. In addition to being Westwood congregation's home, the building is used by the community for activities such as dancing, yoga, music, and events such as child dedications, memorial services, marriage ceremonies, and even birthday parties. Contact Westwood for building rental information.
Westwood, like all other Unitarian Universalist churches, is self-governing. There is no organizational hierarchy in our denomination. However, churches across the country join together in the Canadian Unitarian Council to support one another, provide resources and speak with one voice on issues of social justice.
Westwood Unitarian Congregation has been active in Edmonton since 1982. To learn about Westwood's history, click here.
