September 25-26 - Small Congregations Leadership Training in Saskatoon
With Rev. Robert Latham
Life in a small congregation isn't just a miniature version of life in a larger
one. Small congregations face unique challenges and have unique resources.
Join us in sunny Saskatoon for a weekend workshop focused on
equipping lay leaders of small congregations. Particular attention will be
paid to how to be a vital community without the benefit of a full time minister.
The weekend will be split into three workshops: worship, leadership and
committee on ministry. You are welcome to attend some or all of the
workshops. Home hospitality will be available. To register or for more information,
email Liz James at LizJames@me.com.
For more information, call or email Rev. Anne - she is planning to attend
and welcomes your participation.
Oct 1-3 - Going Deeper Workshop
A weekend program tailored to the unique needs, goals, and resource of smaller congregations.
Facilitator: Liz James
Cost: Free to all attendees!
Who should attend: everyone who is interested in having Westwood (or their home congregation)
develop into a stronger, more fulfilling (and fulfilled) congregation.
While we would love to have you join us for the entire weekend, it is fine if you can only attend part of it!
Please see the newsletter for full information.
October 15-17 - Western Region Fall Gathering
Topic: Shared Ministry
Location: Winnipeg, MB
In the theme of shared ministry
within our vital liberal heritage,
workshops and activities will address
issues of volunteer and leadership
development.

October 25 - 'Build Your Own Theology' course
Monday evenings 7-9pm, from Oct 25 to Nov 29 (no class Nov 8)
Taking time to develop (or to enrich) your personal theology is an excellent way to grow in your
experience of Unitarian Universalism, to connect more deeply with yourself and with your community members.
Designed by Richard Gilbert, a respected UU minister recognized for his social justice leadership,
this program asks key questions, leads participants through private and group discovery,
and completes with the creation of a personal credo.
Whether you are a new Unitarian, exploring our shared principles for the first time, or a seasoned member,
re-evaluating and refining your experience, this program is suited to you.
Please see the newsletter for full information.
