The compassion bank opened on 52 occasions for 64 Westwoodians.
It made 36 bank offers & responded to 15 requests.
Many offers attended to folk experiencing family losses. Via check~ins, listeners, cards & florals.
Anniversaries of family losses were also acknowledged.
Special offers created home & memorial gatherings support.
Some of the year’s work happened for folks confined by hospitalization, illness, surgery & in care. Via check~ins, visits, cards, florals, house & yard support, & meals.
Your bank arranged rides to medical appointments & Westwood events ~ driving lessons ~ listeners for life or personal challenges ~ house moves ~ errands ~ & a home stay.
Survey results concerning compassionate activities prompted some program changes.
- Information is introduced at sessions for newcomers.
- A fall pulpit appeal highlights program & needs for additional donors.
- Individual donors are recognized & thanked.
- Westwood website hosts update program information & images.
Compassionate connections' success is grounded in the discreet activities of 35 donors to the bank. Standing by & providing comfort, consolation & support to folks in the congregation.
As always, Westwood’s natural & spontaneous networks of kindness & attention flourish independently. Westwood is also enriched by the pastoral gifts of our minister.
