This Friday, September 30th, marks the fourth year that, all across the country, people from all walks of life will wear orange shirts to commemorate the experiences of former students of Indian Residential Schools and to commit to ongoing reconciliation. In this action, and others, we invite you to walk in this journey.
This Sunday we light a special candle with the words “We light this candle today in recognition of the ongoing commitments made, by UUs across Canada, to the journey of healing and reconciliation between Canadian Aboriginal and Non-‐Aboriginal people. Through it, we acknowledge and accept our responsibility for truth-‐telling, healing and reconciliation”.
