During this service, he will talk about his life in Burundi where he lived in a simple and familiar environment and how he now has to navigate a complex new context in Canada. A difficult story told by a hopeful minister!

Topic: Operation Fruit Rescue Edmonton: Building Community One Apple at a Time
Board Member and Orchard Manager, Mike Johnson, will share the history of OFRE. OFRE mobilizes volunteers to harvest, process, and preserve local fruit. OFRE gets the fruit in the hands, mouths, and minds of people in the Edmonton capital region by fostering community involvement and knowledge sharing.
