Thursday, Oct. 6th, at 7pm, Westwood’s “Sustaining Practices” program will begin. (see poster for all the dates & times). We will explore the power and possibility of Sustaining Practices in our lives, amidst a theme based conversation.
The full 8 weeks will look at ‘types of Sustaining Practice’, (like yoga, running, artistry, meditation, writing, devotion … and more) – but also ‘styles of Sustaining Practice’, (like movement, relational, introspective, social justice … etc.). We will focus on one style, with a new experiential type being introduced each session. We promise, this is suitable for all levels of experience and ability. Whether you have a personal practice, or not, there will be value here for you.
Our topics coordinate with the Westwood monthly themes (have you got your 2016-17 theme magnet yet?) and aim to provide a depth of experience for new and returning members and friends. Our only requirement is an open mind – and the desire to gather for 2 hours of connection, conversation & growth. It’s drop-in, so come when you can, but for the full experience, you’ll want to aim for all 8 sessions.
