The Westwood board of Trustees met, via Zoom, on April 15th.
Of Note:
❖ Many thanks to Jacqueline, our amazing Treasurer, with the support of Katie and Margret, for holding a fun and positive Stewardship event on April 12. Thanks also to Harmonia for making an appearance. Much Westwood Magic was sprinkled!
❖ There are still some critical vacancies for the June 16/17 Casino at Grand Villa (Roger’s Place). Please sign up HERE for this important source of funding for Westwood
❖ Work on an agreement with Papaschase First Nation Band 136 Association continues. You are invited to Papaschase’s Round House on Sunday, May 3, 11 am – 2 pm. Please see HERE for details.
❖ Westwood’s delegates to the national Canadian Unitarian Council Annual General Meeting will be Dean Wood and Susan Anderson. Thank you both!
❖ New backlit “Westwood Unitarian Community” signage was approved by the board – hopefully to go on the building this summer!
❖ The Greater Edmonton Alliance (GEA) is working to ramp up their activism and activities and Westwood has re-joined. As you may know, our own Carl Ulrich was one of the founders of this organization. Margret Schubert will be our representative. Westwoodians and others are invited to the Alliance’s Assembly on May 5th. Here is your chance to get involved. For more information talk to Margret and check out the GEA website https://www.greateredmontonalliance.org
