Afritopia is Green – Sunday Service

A compassionate community of free religious thought, inviting all people to rest, grow, and serve the world.

In 1979, Stevie Wonder invited listeners worldwide to Journey into the Secret Life of Plants. But right now, with the world on fire (literally and politically), many people may fear that the journey is over with nature and humanity doomed. But what if there’s a vast legion of African scientists, engineers, and more around the world seeking to save the planet?

Speaker, Malcolm Azania:

Our guest speaker this morning is an award-winning speaker and an award-winning author, and was once the University of Alberta Writer in Residence. After teaching English with Edmonton Public Schools for ten years, he taught creative writing workshops and has delivered speeches and keynote addresses around North America. He’s spent a lifetime learning and sharing knowledge about 5,000 years of African civilisations and geniuses in every field.

Malcolm is a writer, journalist, video game writer, national television host and associate producer, union director of communications and education, teacher, educational consultant, and currently earning a master’s degree in Education Policy Studies focusing on Aspirational Africentric Education.

The service today is followed by 2nd-Sunday Potluck.
