Winter Solstice Celebration

Come and celebrate the return of the Sun on the darkest day of the year!

The Westwood community has been hosting a celebration of the Winter Solstice since 1987.

Come and gather to celebrate Yule both IN-PERSON and ONLINE via Zoom.

There will be music, candles, ritual and celebration! We shall have food and drink and a sacred fire out back.

As in previous years, Westwood will be taking donations for a designated organization. This year’s Solstice recipient is Edmonton Water Warriors (waterwarriorsyeg.com)

Due to limited capacity, you must reserve a spot if you wish to attend in person.

Our Winter Solstice celebration is a popular event. Please arrive at Westwood by 6:40 p.m. to claim your reserved Eventbrite seat. If you have not checked in at the door by 6:40 we will assume you are not going to attend and will give your Eventbrite seat to someone else. If you arrive after 6:40 you may still be admitted as long as there is room.

If you reserve a spot and realize later that you cannot make it, please let us know at info@westwoodunitarian.ca so your spot can be made available.

Volunteers and Harmonia choir members have a guaranteed spot for themselves, but may need to reserve an IN-PERSON ticket for their family/friends who wish to attend.
